Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent quality with a few cons. Better than Dakota I bought these in May of 2015 and used them until December of 2016, so they lasted a good little while. Tried Caterpillar and Dakota before but the heels on them wore down much quicker and the inside heel stitching would fall apart. Not an issue on these. Pros: - waterproofing seemed to last pretty good for the life of them - fairly lightweight and heel isn't 90degrees so that makes walking a little easier. I put many kms on these boots in their life. Working at a 156 000 square foot plant walking all over it many days. -keeps feet very comfortable for long days. Did many 10 hr, 12 hr, and more days with these and feet stayed comfortable to the end. Insole very high quality and comfortable Ortholite brand - soles didn't fall apart on me like people mention in other reviews. The rubber sole edge peeled back very slightly from the leather but never came off (I used a little super glue early on which may have helped) - tread pattern and outer sole held up nicely and didn't wear out significantly (I still use these for home now) - also they didn't retain bad odors as much as Dakota or Caterpillar Cons: - leather stains easily - toe cap is not very durable; peeled quickly from the work i do which regularly involves going on hands and knees. Not a big deal though, because i just put on the Tuff Toe compound which kept them good for rest of the shoes life - after many months of crouching and bending, the right shoe developed a hole in the leather in the spot where the leather flexes when crouching. Had to patch it with adhesive and Tuff Toe Over all a decent boot. Not top quality but pretty good for the price. I didn't buy them again as i wanted to spent a little more and get something which will hopefully last a little longer. I am trying now Mark's STC Duncan II which cost $339. My work covers most of the cost. I enjoyed the Carhartt's boot though and would recommend it for lighter work than my job requires

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Work Boots I've been using these boots 40+ hours a week since just before Christmas and they have done nothing but impress. They keep my feet dry and comfortable all day long. I got my pair with a 40% discount so wait and see if you must. (They are worth the full price)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality, comfortable yet rugged. These boots were recommended by a coworker as a slightly less expensive yet equal quality alternative to redwings. I agree. They are very comfortable, arent too heavy after a long day & have enough insulation to keep your feet warm yet not too hot when working indoors. They have decent grip on slippery surfaces & the composite toe doesnt get as cold as a steel one. They hold up to abuse and are an all around great boot that seems to be underrated/overlooked. I wear them 5 days a week, 8-12 hrs a day & sometimes on weekends & my feet are very satisfied!
