Rated 1 out of 5 by from 529 boots are painful I bought these 529 boots to replace my other Dakota boots that I have had for along time , however from the time I started wearing these boots , I have never experienced such an uncomfortable boot, in the store they felt fine , but after only half a day on my feet , I have to say these have got to be the worst boot I have ever worn as far as comfort . To think I spent that much money on something that is so brutal on the feet is just unimaginable. I had to go out an buy a replacement pair of boots , there was just no way I could stand on my feet all day with these terrible boots . Just a word to the wise , ( don't buy these boots )

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely comfortable! I bought these about a month and a half ago and I have to say that these boots have to be by far the most comfortable I ever wore. They are a bit heavier then other models but personally I don't mind it. The sole is very thick and grips very well when working. The material used are pretty good. I have not had a chance to work in the water yet so I can not talk about the waterproofing but the way they are made seems like it will do the job. I love them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent work boots I had these same boots previously and found they were very comfortable, very durable and very water proof after several months of wearing in a harsh mining environment and that is why i had no problem ordering another pair.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible boot I ordered these boots on line as I'm not near a marks and they don't sell my regular boot on line so I thought I would try them , wore them for 20 min and pitched them in the garbage . Out almost 200 bucks .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing boots I love my 529's, I had a brown pair years ago when I did construction. Bought a black pair when I left that job and went to school to become a paramedic four years ago, and when those boots wore down this version is what I replaced them with last year. The boots are comfortable, fit well on a slightly wide foot, to me their weight is reasonable for an 8" boot and they look pretty decent when they're cleaned. The only time I ended a shift with wet feet was when I lost my footing and slipped up to my knee in water, other than that, the water proofing works great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the water proof feature I have bought a few pair and have been satisfied, the only issue is durability. I work with concrete, calcium chloride, waste oil and diesel fuel which can wreak havoc on the best work/safety boot. Having said that each pair of these boots has only lasted a year, so maybe they will last longer in a less harsh environment. Also the comfort level drops significantly once they start to deteriorate.
