Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great work boot These boots are the right fit for me. They were to replace the last pair of the same size and model that lasted me over a year being used 40 hours a week in wet and dry conditions with all the seasons in between. I'm happy with the longevity, look, feel/comfort, insulation. With a great sale on the product from Marks, I went ahead and ordered 2 pair. Now I'm set for another 2 years at least. Thanks!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Comfortable and Solid Work Boot. These boots are well made, waterproof to the top of the boot, even the tongue is correctly made to not permit infiltration. The safety features are non intrusive, the cap does not catch on your foot, and the slip resistance is quite good, only shortfall I found was transitioning from slush to concrete you need to clear the slush to get a good grip.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lots of pain. Had the 8" mammoths for 4.5 years, and they finally kicked the bucket while teaming comfortable for their entire life. Amazing boots. With a change of work I decided I didn't need an 8" and got the 6" variant. What a difference. The upper part of the boot bruised my ankles, and I got really bad blistering on the back of my heel. Maybe they would be better if broken in, but I could only tolerate so much. Had them for 7 days, and once I started limping I knew I had to return them. Appear to be well made however, if you pick up a pair pay attention to the back of your heel and the top of the boot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable boot I would like to start by saying I have been wearing work boots for over a decade 5 days a week as a carpenter. I am very hard on footwear as a framer. These boots have held up fantastic for 4 months of daily use. They are very comfortable on my feet and I am on them an average of 10 hours a day. I find them a little warm in the summer, but they are fantastic in the fall and so far they have been warm enough in the cold and snow, it was -12°C for a couple days in a row here. I don't have the same heel comfort problem other reviewers have complained about. I never wear a new pair of boots for a whole day, an hour around the house the first day, a couple hours at work the next day, then a half day then a full day, you get the idea, standard break-in period is a must for work boots. I expect these to last 12 months I have already worn them for 4 months and are just showing sings of normal wear and tear.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Heel killers I purchased these boots on Sunday and wore them around the house for most of the day. they felt comfortable. I wore them to work and within an hour of walking I could hardly walk. by the end of the day I had two toonie sized blisters on my heels. Marks almost didn't let me exchange them because I wore them for 1 day. I am glad they did for store credit because these boots are unwearable. I got a pair of "work pro" boots that feel 100% better even with the blisters. stay away from these boots. I wish I would have read other reviews before I purchased these. it seems that I'm not the only one that has heel problems with them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke in 6 months!!! For that amount of money they should last a year. They are bit wide and not too flexible. They are not for mechanic.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The heels wore out in 6 months The heel of the boot wore out in 6 months. I'm guessing it wore right through to the quad comfort foam. Cause when I walk in the rain it sounds like I'm ringing a sponge over a sink. I had the 8 inch mammoths a few boots ago and I had the same issue. It's got me turned off the whole Dakota brand completely. The boots are still comfortable especially with green super feet insoles. Guess I'll have to deal with noise and not bother trying to sneak up behind someone in the rain.
