Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent boot My husband has owned a pair of these since last winter and loves them. He bought a half size larger than his regular size, they fit him perfectly, are sturdy, wearing well, well made, beautiful quality leather. I recently bought my adult son a pair (he has moved to the Yukon and needed heavy duty footwear). I bought him a half size bigger than his regular size - when he first saw them, he was dubious as to whether or not they would fit because they looked so large, but they have nice thick lining. With winter socks, the half size bigger also him fits perfectly. I would highly recommend buying a half size larger than your regular size. I also purchased a container of Dubbin from Mark's which works perfectly on the leather of these boots.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from They started out good.... I started wearing these boots in late August (2016) and it is mid February now. I wear the boots for backpacking, trail and bush and average around 55k a week. The one boot has worn through to the leather on the inside heel area, the other is still holding out however with the extra space created I have to put bandages on that heel or the blisters will come! :) They are a little heavy, I have no problem with that, the waterproof rating is right on and the boots look good. I'm a 3e wide and have a high instep. The leather has been conditioned and they still look like new but I believe they've stretched from hard use causing this problem. The rest of the questions are redundant, like would I recommend to a friend? Most certainly if he hardly used them...The soles actually work quite well in the snow, not so well for Ice however you can purchase a pull on thingamiggy rubber with studs and this works wonders for traction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable winter boot! I've only had the boots for a month, I wear them everyday to go to work. I like the form and width, good for my wide feet. The boots are warm, good on ice and really waterproof! Walking around in the city, in winter, is much easier with these boots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save Your Money Bought these boots on sale a couple months ago and the only positive statement I can make is that I got them on sale and, as a result, wasted less money than at the full price. Ill fitting and no support resulting in sore joints and legs. Bought a new pair of boots today and wondering whether these are even worth keeping as a back up pair. And it's a shame as I have bought Windriver boots for over 14 years but the type I bought before is no longer carried.
