Rated 3 out of 5 by from They started out good.... I started wearing these boots in late August (2016) and it is mid February now. I wear the boots for backpacking, trail and bush and average around 55k a week. The one boot has worn through to the leather on the inside heel area, the other is still holding out however with the extra space created I have to put bandages on that heel or the blisters will come! :) They are a little heavy, I have no problem with that, the waterproof rating is right on and the boots look good. I'm a 3e wide and have a high instep. The leather has been conditioned and they still look like new but I believe they've stretched from hard use causing this problem. The rest of the questions are redundant, like would I recommend to a friend? Most certainly if he hardly used them...The soles actually work quite well in the snow, not so well for Ice however you can purchase a pull on thingamiggy rubber with studs and this works wonders for traction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable winter boot! I've only had the boots for a month, I wear them everyday to go to work. I like the form and width, good for my wide feet. The boots are warm, good on ice and really waterproof! Walking around in the city, in winter, is much easier with these boots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save Your Money Bought these boots on sale a couple months ago and the only positive statement I can make is that I got them on sale and, as a result, wasted less money than at the full price. Ill fitting and no support resulting in sore joints and legs. Bought a new pair of boots today and wondering whether these are even worth keeping as a back up pair. And it's a shame as I have bought Windriver boots for over 14 years but the type I bought before is no longer carried.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boot My husband loves these boots, he has a high arch & is flat footed, so many shoes/boots are very uncomfortable for him, but he says these are comfortable

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but not for Work Nice comfy boots and look good too, but tried using them too often for work and feet got wet due to rubber soles wearing thin and coming apart. Would buy again but only for a casual or at home boot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Pleased I like these boots, but do have a couple of small issues with them. The pros are that they seem really well made & tough as they come. I'm a canoeist & stepping out into 2~3 inches of water is common place with no leaks yet. The cons would be that they are a little bulkier than my old boots & being black they get really hot on summer days. Having said that, I was expecting soaking wet socks from sweat but was pleased to find that not to be the case so I guess the HD3 lining works. My major issue is that these boots give me absolutely no tolerance for long toenails. This was found out rather painfully & I've had to add 'trim toenails' to my pre-trip checklist! On the whole I'm pretty pleased with them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very comfortable and affordable but no traction Bought this boot and quickly returned it after one week. I didn't realize at purchase it was not rated for ice. Didn't matter though as it provided no traction on snow either. Nearly slipped 3 times walking the streets of Ottawa after a light snow fall. Otherwise the boot is very comfortable and warm. Very affordable as well, as I bought it on sale.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Size mismatch and not anti-icy This shoe is ok but its real size is 0.5 less than what is rated. Also anti-slip is not tested on icy road so it is not suitable in winter
