Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage, Built to break, not worth $240!!! I bought a pair last year. For the first month, they were fine. The shoelaces both snapped in the first two weeks so i bought a pair of Dakota kevlar duralaces. Those are good. After that, the cat emblem in the right foot broke through the mesh liner and the "warning tag" and started digging into my heel. I bet the warning tag was put there just so you wouldn't feel the sharp emblem when you try them on for the first time. I had to wear my rain boots for 2 weeks till the sore on my foot healed. After that they still hurt, even when wearing two pairs of thick Dakota steeltoe socks. Those are also good. Then the soles separated at the back and filled with water, makes a squishing sound every time you take a step. And all the tags on the inside fell off and I had to find the box i bought them in to send CAT/WolverineWorldwide the return info. Do yourself a favour and get some nice Dakota 442's. These are for lazy people who want a reason not to walk around but still look like they do something.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hard Rock They are too hard for me and took it to the bathtub and and pore water over because i was cleaning and wiping the outside leather and the toe after my first day with these boots I found out it is not waterproof quickly and by accident. I remember my feet were and my sox were dry after i finished long night before I wet them from the outside. Maybe mine was a defect. I read the other review and no other buyer have these issues so don't take my review but I'm i will return them and exchange with different steel to. I like the way they look bust my feet are hurting right now.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worn out quickly. Bought these boots about a year ago. Good comfortable boot once broken in. The laces tend to untie themselves at least once a shift. Recently the sole has cracked on the ball of the foot so I need to buy new boots. A good boot but I would expect them to last longer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Super comfortable but poor quality mesh liner Love the look of these boots, and they are very comfortable. But, after about a month of wearing them the backs of the mesh liner started tearing and there was a piece of plastic that was digging into my foot causing discomfort. Luckily, Marks has a great return policy and they let me exchange for another pair. I didn't want to get the same boots for fear it would happen again, but my local store didn't have any other boots in stock in my size that compared to the comfort and light weight of these boots. So, I will give them another try and will use a shoe horn to try and resist tearing. But i fear that the poor quality mesh liner will tear again, and i will be returning to marks once more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features I bought this a month ago. So far they are one of the best steel toe I have had. I wear steel toe boots almost 24/7.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for 12 Months These boots were the best boots I've ever owned except for the fact that the inner back of the boot wore out after about 12 months and started causing pain on my achilles tendons. Right out of the box they are very comfortable, no break in period required. They are also comparatively very light, great during the winter, and durable on the outside. After 12 months of use, the boot is holding up very well. In fact, holding up the best out of all of the boots that I have ever owned. It's too bad that the inside backs are all worn out and I can't wear them any more. If it wasn't for that they would last another 12 months. Hopefully Caterpillar will fix this issue because they are otherwise fantastic boots, and without the issue would probably be one of the best boots for the price. If you're a person who goes through a pair of boots in a 12 month period, pretty much regardless of what boot you use, you might as well get a cheaper pair. But if you're someone who has a hard time finding comfortable boots (such as myself), want light and warm winter boots, or don't want to have a break in period, and don't care that they will only last about 12 months (for some people it will be less) then check these boots out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good for 6 months Bought these boots brand new and they were great comay, durable , I recommended them to anyone who asked. I work in the electrical trade so they were great for my 8-10 hour days. HOWEVER I haven't hit the 6 month mark and the inner lining in the back of the boot has worn out , the soles have become useless. This boot became popular around the job site after I purchased it and this same problem has happened to every single person I know with this boot . If you want to spend 230$ every 6 months on new boots then these are the ones, very disappointed
