Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome boots My last pair lasted 8 years until a small leak developed.I work outside in the winter and always have warm dry feet. Just got a new pair hoping to get many years out of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots I've had these for three winters now, and do construction. I have seen some of the negative reviews, and am guessing the folks that have had problems with them really work them harder than I. They are not miracle boots, but I think they will outlast any other similar boot in similar situations. I expect 2-4 more years out of these boots. They are very hard to drive in,, but I love them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I Have Replaced These Boots Every 3 Months for the Last Year and a Half I work on a dairy farm, and wear these boots all day every day. I'm steady climbing in and out of equipment, and find them very stiff in the skid steer and clutching tractors. The pressure points are killer on these boots, I've even tried a size bigger, and still no difference. The steel shank pushes through after about 2 1/2 months of wear, causing leaks. The only reason I keep replacing them is because they seem to be the only rubber compound that stands up to the acidity of cow manure. I don't reccomend buying these if you plan on actually working in them. My next set will be the more expensive dunlops, the explorers. Hopefully they hold up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very comfortable Had these boots over 5 years now. Wear them all winter. Most winters here are rarely that cold but when there is snow and it is minus 15C they are perfect. Cannot attest to -40! Take a bit to get used to walking in and need better insoles as the one they come with are useless. Bought them as normal Wellies are cold and rarely last a year or two plus they are super slippery. Liner inside is finally separating but not a problem, Lugs on bottom are still in good shape but I am rarely on concrete or asphalt.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great until they're not... When new these boots are incredibly warm and cozy in the winter. They are ideal for working in cold water, mud, snow, slush etc. They are functional but not overly comfortable. These boots are huge, heavy, and stiff as boards but that is apparent just by looking at them. Anyone who expects that these will "break in" is delusional. They are molded plastic..the way they feel in the store is the way that they will feel until you stop wearing them. Although I was initially very impressed my enthusiasm dropped off as my awesome boots slowly began to leak. Apparently any kicking motion, including stubbed toes and tripping or any excessive flexing of the sole, such as will occur when kneeling down, will result in the steel shank migrating through the sole of the boot to the point where it will cut through the toe. I continued to wear my first pair for a couple of years after the toes had failed. I kept gluing the holes up and they kept opening again. The soles eventually started peeling off at the heel. Preferring the devil I knew rather than going for a new brand I bought another pair. In spite of being extra careful not to kick or bump anything with my toes the same holes appeared within about three months. I will recommend these boots only because they *might* be okay for limited use but do not stand up to daily wear. I will not buy another pair of these boots. They are too expensive given the chronic toe failure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great winter/spring boot Great boot for winter wear in Alberta. Work in civil/heavy commercial construction doing formwork and this boot is great. Need a boot liner insole to help with the warmth and comfort, but otherwise good. These things make your feet SWEAT so a change of socks will help keep your feet dry regularly. Great in snow, ice, cold water, mud, rain. Use them all winter and on summer rainy days. Great on the farm too.
