Rated 4 out of 5 by from good value boots Had they not slipped a bit on a patch of ice I would have given these boots a 5 star rating. They're warm, not too stiff, relatively light and fit snugly giving me the ankle support I like without being hard to put on and take off. I bought a size 13 to fit my true size of 12 1/2 W left foot - 12 W right foot and find them (with an extra insole in the right boot) quite comfortable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfortable and warm While these are very comfortable, warm during the cold season, traction on ice is better then most boots, however, i may had gotten a defective boot, the sole on mine started to come apart, as well it seperated from the rubber to the sole. However, last winter when my job requires 12 hours of constant walking around per day, for the price, if i cant repair mine with shoe goo, i'd buy another pair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm Comfortable and good support Got these about a week ago on sale for $50 off. It was about -23C in Winnipeg just after some freezing rain when I wore them. Warmth and comfort was good. Traction was mediocre on the ice as another gentleman indicated but they are better than some other boots. I did a little bit of jogging in them on the snow and ice covered sidewalks and they provided good support for the short distances I went. I also drive long distances and had to switch to my runners as the boots got too warm as expected. They are slightly clumsy to wear when driving if you take a larger size (12). Expect to be buying new laces for these soon as the fastening system (hooks) will wear the laces quickly so you might want to pick up a spare pair with the boots. Overall an excellent boot for the sale price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Feel great but still slip These boots are extremely comfortable and pretty warm. I love the top 3 hooks and how it grips the lace and you lace up the boot. They seem more durable then my last pair but we will see. They have been great in the snow and slush that we have had but do not seem to perform all that great with Ice. We had some freezing rain and everything was covered in ice, these boots had next to no traction and I had to slide my feet without lifting them to walk anywhere without falling. My last pair of Tarantula anti-slip boots had little pieces of what looked like diamonds in the rubber bottom and they were amazing on any surface. These sadly do not and do not function all that great on smooth ice, bumpy frozen slush they are amazing though so not a total loss.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good boot for my needs I needed a boot a little higher than my low-top hiking boots because I am doing some short hiking now in 6" - 8" of snow. More importantly, I needed a boot that has good traction on firm snow and ice. In that regard, these boots perform very well so far for me on slippery surfaces, compared to my older Solomon boots and even other boots that I have used in showy-icy weather in the past.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good overall quality Bought as a gift for a relative and they were happy with the boots. Good insulation and traction. Regular price was a bit high but I got them on sale and free shipping so it was reasonable for $100.00

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice boots Planned a trip to vancouver island in early december knowing there would be alot of rain. Needing new boots for the trip wanting to do some site seeing. Went to some walking trails along waterfalls where there we lots of pools of water on trails & the trails was also a bit slippery with the rain and wet moss. With the runnout transitionals the anti slip turatula were supreme on the rocks & moss plus my feet were completely dry after the day of hiking. Also very comfotable.
