Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Traction, Runs Small Order half size up it was snug and not enough room for hiking descents. Traction was great for steel scrambles, up and down the mountain. Not recommended for long distance hikes, there is not enough support for those day long treks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FANTASTIC BOOTS - Buying my second pair. I work in landscaping as a full-time summer job. I generally spend an average of 50 hours per week on my feet and running shoes weren't cutting it. I don't like steel toes so I tried these boots instead... I love them. They lasted me a full two years of HEAVY wear. While I wouldn't walk through deep puddles in them, they kept my feet cool and dry. Toward the end of the second season, I wore through the sole and they started leaking so I switched back to runners... which fell apart quickly and left me with sore feet. I'm buying another pair before going back to work this summer! Style wise (they would be great for hiking or an everyday boot) but I like that they still have a feminine look rather than the more masculine looking work boots, while still offering good protection of my feet and ankles.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A perfect sneaker-and-boot hybrid These are my go-to winter boots. Grippy, comfortable, and warm all winter long (even in thin socks!) I love that they're just as warm as a bulkier set of boots, but much easier to walk and run in. Please start making them in other colours.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good boot but a little stiff Have had them for a year and wear them infrequently but find they're quite stiff to wear in. Otherwise nice style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 70s styling! I have been looking for a 'traditional' styled boot in all of the top name hiking boot manufacturers. The only one I could find was by Danner (Cheryl Strayed) cascade mountain light,at the price off 300.00 US. My last stop in my internet search was MWW. I saw these exactly the styling I wanted on sale. I went to my local store and picked them up. I don't care about waterproofing as most boots need to be waterproofed yearly anyway. There are few low priced boots that can meet this standard. They are comfortable and look very well constructed. My only wish is that the spare set of laces were RED. Nice to get spare ones tho.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like walking on clouds....... I have had these boots for 2 years now and the only reason I look forward to fall and winter is so that I can wear them again!! The most comfortable, durable boots I have ever owned. My feet are never cold, no matter if it's -5 or -25. I have not had any problems with them getting wet inside. Treat yourself and you won't regret it. I'm off to buy another pair just incase these ever wear out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not waterproof! But great otherwise. I've been hiking in these boots for the past 4 months, once, sometimes twice, a week for 15-20+ km hikes in various conditions (mud, snow, slush, water), with tight-fitting gaiters. From the start I noticed a moderate amount of moisture accumulating in them but I wasn't ready to rule out sweat. I had been quite diligent about treating them regularly for water repellency, but the last time I gave them a thorough wash, I forgot to treat them, and on the following hike, I could feel a lot of water seeping through certain parts of the junction between the leather and the sole, and at some seams. Considering that I really need fully waterproof boots for my outdoors activities, I'm disappointed with this purchase and I regret not having invested in more reliable boots. That being said, these boots are great in other respects. They are sturdy (maybe excluding the HD3 membrane?), comfortable, light, rather stylish, and warm enough for winter hiking (provided that they're dry); they dry quickly and they don't smell. So I'll keep treating them with a water-repellent product and wearing them in less extreme conditions. Size-wise, I find that they fit a little small: I normally wear size 7 but I bought them in 7.5.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Awesome until I got them wet :( So I wore these boots around town aetc for a about 2 weeks to break them in and I loved them! But then I took them out hunting where I was tracking through a lot of wet grass and ever since then it FEELS LIKE THEY ARE A SIZE SMALLER. It is as if they SWELLED and now they are so tight and uncomfortable I hope I can return them and get a size larger :(
