Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best boot for working the railway I love these boots and as a conductor they held up for two and a half winters and I'm sad to say they got stolen or else these boots had another 2-3 years left in them. They are easy to put your foot in the stirup of a railcar and are amazing to walk on ice and ballast as they are wide, have what seems to be broken glass shards molded in the rubber bottom for ice grip, and the ankle is solid you will never roll your ankle with these on. If you do then your leg is broken lol. Highly recommend as the Quality is outstanding. Just lock them up when ur not wearing them as I just read above another railroader had his stolen too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well constructed I have owned and used these boots for three full winters without issue. They are well constucted, warm and comfortable. By year three they leak a little if i am in wet conditions all day long. The removable felt liner is a bonus for drying if needed. These boots may be too warm for you if you are in and out through the day. My go to boot for a cold winters work day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boots Working north of Yellowknife and picked a pair of these up and glad I did. These boots are warm and comfortable need I say more. It's been about 3 months now and no complaints with them at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, and durable. I will be buying a new pair as I had these for 4 1/2 years before they just got stolen 2 weeks ago. But working on railroad tracks with 2-3 feet of snow never got cold. The salt will work at them but I kept them clean spraying them off to be sure salt didn't eat at them to fast. Dubbin works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Probably the best and last boots you'll buy I don't wear mine frequently as I only use them when its really cold and we get a lot of snow. I've had mine for the better part of 8 years and they are the only pair of boots i"ve had where my feet either stayed warm or even started to feel hot. The insulation on them is far beyond anything else i've worn over the years. And maybe they might be overkill for your average winter boot but I wouldn't have it any other way. They are made extremely well (part of the reason why I bought this particular model) and the steel toe helps with breaking up ice.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from poor quality These boots lost all weather proofing in two months.warm when new love the normal boot width I am an arborist and need a normal width for climbing gaffs. They lasted 3 winters only due to mass shoe goo to hold together and for water resistants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots! Warm you get what you pay for Had them for two winters now. As a driver and equipment operator I am in and out of different trucks and machines the width is great and can actually fit on the pedals and keep my feet warm. Good waterproofing and traction no worries in slush or on ice. temps of -30 for hours at a time I don't have to worry about my feet. my only complaint is you need to keep them tight or your heal will slide up and down and become sore quickly so take your time putting them on and loosen the laces a lot to get out of them. hope another year or two out of them
