Rated 4 out of 5 by from shoes good fitting comfortable shoes. However I find that they break down fast. tread starts to separate early (however a bit of super glue fixes that) and I find the uppers start to give away (separating form the sole) after about 9 - 10 months. and I do not work in a place that the shoes would take a beating.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great no slip shoe But the soles come off I have bought 3 pairs of these shows because they are great on slippery surfaces. As others have said the soles of the shoes split apart. The first pair I bought on clearance for $25. They looked ok to wear to work as a dress show, but were non slip. The first pair lasted about 6 months and than the soles separated, shoeGoop kept the going for another 6 months. 2nd pair same thing as first. Last pair have lasted the longest the the sole is still attached to the shoe but the anti slip insert has come unglued, ShoeGoop has kept these going for over a year so far. Reading the other reviews makes me think these are not the best made shows. But for what they are they seem to work good since the are water poof, look like a shoe you can wear too the office. They last about as long as a Doctor Scholls walmart special cost about the same but work far better in slippery and wet conditions. The Dr Scholls the rubber sole splits in the middle and the first puddle you step in you get wet feet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Product I bought a pair of these about 2 weeks ago, didn't last 12 hours and the sole split in half. I was at a conference in Vegas and brought the unworn shoes with me as my only shoes.. I almost had to walk in my socks on the way back in the airport 4 days after I first wore them. Marks was great, gave me a new pair no problem. The 2nd pair did a bit better, but the sole split on these also 5 days after getting them. Needless to say, I got CAT's and i don't plan on ever getting Dakotas again. Dakotas were great in the past, but it looks like they are cheeping out now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money I wear my Dakota safety shoes in a casino environment. They get little or no wear and tear on them yet the sides are splitting and the soles are separating as well as the tread breaking off of the toe on one shoe. I bought them at marks thinking I was getting a good product..I started wearing them in November of last year and by the beginning of may they were falling apart. I am so displeased with this product I will NEVER shop at Marks again and will definitely not buy another pair of Dakaotas. It's pretty sad that no name shoes bought at walmart last longer than the products Marks. When I called Marks they told me it wasn't their problem, it was Dakotas. So much for standing behind what you sell.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy!!! I’m an architect so I usually look for safety footwear that can go with a suit and is allowed on a building site. I thought these shoes would fit the bill. They didn’t. They fell apart after 6 months and that was just from walking around an office and buildings for most of the time. One day (the day that I finally decided that I couldn’t wear them anymore) while I was walking home in the rain (a ten minute walk) they actually exploded. Just fell to pieces. The soles, lases, tongue the whole shoe just melted away. The only satisfaction I got out of having these shoes was from the moment I angrily threw them into the bin. Do not buy this product…

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product is terrible These shoes lasted me 4 months before they fell apart. soles seperated, leather flaked off. I have never had a pair of shoes fall apart so quickly. Total waste of money.
