Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great hoodie but the brass zipper is junk Bought it a couple of year's ago but didn't use it much for the first year. Used it a lot in the last six month. Great design, love all the pockets, and really good for layering. Unfortunately, the main zip went on it. The metal zipper pull actual broke in half and shortly after that some of the zipper teeth fell out. I'm looking at $40 to get it repaired, as the rest of the coat is still in great shape. Disappointing considering it's a supposed to be a work coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great warm sweater I bought it for my boyfriend and he loves it. He didn't take it off the first week I bought it for him. It is really warm and he loves wearing it at work and it kind of double as a jacket for him since we live in Vancouver. I am going to get him another one he likes it so much!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality Great Quality for a wardrobe staple that gets used a lot. Doubles as a coat when layered. Very nice to find a hoodie without graphics and logos plastered across the front. I have never found a better quality elsewhere.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from For the more.. ample sized male It's hard to find a good hoodie. If you want something made with quality and durability in mind (and not plastered with logos and whatnot) many of the hoodies out there just don't cut it. The Dakota hoodie has some excellent features. The heavy brass zip, the smart hidden zippered pockets in front, the heavy weight material are all things I'm looking for in a hoodie. The major problem with this hooded sweatshirt is the proportions are all weird. I'm 6'1, 180lb, tall and slim. I got a medium because I needed the sleeve length. The sleeve length is just a bit on the short side, like by a cm or so but it's not too bad. The waist comes down to my hips which is weird considering the shortish sleeve. The hood stops right around the temple and the major, major flaw (unless you are a big guy) is the belly. This thing seems designed to hold a beachball and it doesn't hang flat. It folds up and back around the sternum before chunking down and pressing the front of waistband. Ok, so why do I own such an ill fitting garment? That's on me. I was looking for the bigger name brand hoodie but it was not in stock. As I mentioned a good hoodie is hard to find and I am not a fan of hanging around in stores trying stuff on much. I tried this on, thought the sleeve could be stretched or dealt with, thought maybe the low waistband was not all that bad and maybe the belly will flatten as the thing breaks in. Maybe those smart zippered inner pockets are stiff and will relax after a few days. So I took the positives and ignored the negatives and off I went. Unfortunately the belly has not relaxed and it looks terrible. The hood feels like it's going to blow off and the waist hangs down like a teenager's shirt. I'm going to sell it or give it to a homeless guy or something and resume my search for that elusive good quality, well fitting hoodie. In short, great materials, terrible fit on me, a tall slim guy.
