Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heavy but warm, recommended I'm puzzled by the poor reviews. Seems quite varied. I love these boots although they're heavy to walk very far in. I work in northern Alberta in the oil patch and have had no slipping problems on ice or oily metal surfaces. I've hosed them off, albeit carefully, and the feltpac stayed dry. When I have to do any walking for more than a couple hundred metres, though, they're definitely tiring. The boots are probably best for more outdoor stationary work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm and Comfy I work for a flagging company.I spend many many hours on my feet, sometimes standing in one spot. In the cold wet wether and the snow I find these boots comfortable and warm. The only thing I do not find comfy is when you have to walk a distance in them..due to them being very bulky. But bang for the buck, they are better than a lot of other winter boots I have had in the past.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Huge waste of money and effort getting these boots These boots sell out fast when the cold weather. So the week they came to the stores I called over 13 stores in 3 provinces. The boots are only waterproof on the bottom rubber part. Snow will get stuck in the gusseted tongue. Sadly the felt pack ends up sucking up the moisture and keeping your feet cold and wet all day. I took them out and double and triple socked for better results. The rubber soles have terrible traction, making slips more likely. After a couple months of suffering with these boots, I pulled out my tattered summer work boots, and had a much more tolerable -40 something winter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor traction I was impressed at first because I had finally found a good winter work boot that fit ( I wear a ladies 6) but after using them I would not recommend this boot for anyone who has to walk on snow or ice the colder the sole gets the slipperier it gets. I work outside at a ski resort and have spent way too much time on my butt and knees due to these boots. If they could fix the sole problem they would be a good boot.
