Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my foot! I was recently working and had a customer drop a wheel loader bucket on my foot. He pressed it down and put a couple thousand pounds right on my toe! I walked away with only a fractured toe!!!! I will be buying these boots again 100% recommend them to everyone now. I can't believe how good they are. And after you wear them in they are soooo comfortable!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very great These boots are comfy, but came apart at the steel toe where it meets the leather, obviously a manufacture defect, I'm not impressed, as I would think they should have lasted longer then 5 months, Dakota isn't good in my books, these were the second pair of boots I bought from Dakota, my first pair had a terrible annoying squeak.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I've had my boots for over 3 years I bought them for a job but didn't end up staying there so I wear them mostly in winter. They are still super comfy, still in new condition, never had any issues with them still have the original laces as well :)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Heel Blisters :( I just bought these for a warehouse position which you are inside and out in the cold on and off all day for long hours, the two other girls also have these pair- one has no issues and loves them the other girl had major heel blisters as I do. This is KILLING my feet I can barely walk while wearing them for more then 2 hours. Super choked that they were so pricy and are wrecking my feet. I thought I could break them in but no luck so far. I wear bandaids and thick socks but no luck yet my skin is killing me. Not really sure what to do. I am on the fence with the recommendation but I do love the wideness of them as well that I found a 5 1/2 for my smaller feet. Wish someone could give me advice with the blister situation :(

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent boot all around... I recently purchased these boots for construction use. I decided to test them out at home first as we have some major demolition work happening outdoors; along with a fair bit of landscaping work right now. I have used these boots for leverage, kicking apart wood framing that the pry-bar wouldn't pull apart, balanced on wood framing, climbed ladders, lugged rocks and used the bottom of the boot for trenching/digging and edging very hard ground. Overall, I have been very impressed with the durability and comfort of these boots! In addition, they have provided excellent ankle support and stability on uneven ground. I went out looking to buy a pair of Nats as I had previously purchased a pair but had to return them because they were too big. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to get a pair of Nats in-store in my area anymore. In addition, I have little feet and often struggle to find work boots that fit. So after spending 2 hours trying on various boots, I bought these because of the X-Toe which allowed for more space in-between the steel toe and my baby-toes. My previous pair of boots had left me limping and feeling as though the tops of my toes were being ripped off. These however, have not blistered any part of my foot. Also, I found that these boots are a lot like hockey skates, they take a while to do up in the morning and the tightness/looseness of the laces, REALLY impacts comfort and wear-ability; more so than my previous pair. My only criticism of these boots is the in-sole is not very comfortable for my type of foot. I did remove and replace with an insole from another store; however, I still find my heels hurt at the end of the day. Granted, I was doing some heavy demo work and it's possible no boot could prevent my heels from aching. Finally, on day 2, I could feel the lining rubbing on the top of my foot. It was similar to the feeling you get when the seam of your sock pushes on the top of your baby-toe. I wear my socks inside out so this doesn't happen but the lining bunched a bit and produced a similar feeling. I had to take the boot off and adjust the inner lining a couple of times each day after that. What I have learned is that all boots take time to adjust too and it really depends on your foot and how the boot fits. For some folks, only $300 boots work for them, whereas others find the cheaper $80 boots more comfortable. I do suggest that others do what I did and give them a good test before wearing them to work. Even just wearing while you do housework will tell you if you will be comfortable all day at work. I cannot comment on longevity but hope that they hold up in the field as they have been a great water-resistant boot that can take a beating!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boot Only ever bought these specific type of boot. Broke in Super fast with no blisters bandaids or thick high socks. Just normal ankle socks. I used them 3 years before needing a new pair. Only wish they were a little better insulated for cold winters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boot I work demolition and these are the only boots I buy, very comfortable if you leave them tied loose and wear them around the house for a weekend when new, they are very durable I average 1 pair a year and I wear them hard in all kinds of conditions, you do have to waterproof them. When the start wearing down on the inside sole add a pair of gel insoles and you can get a few more months out of them. What would be nice is if they had kevlar instead of steel for the cold but it don't take much to add an extra pair of socks when the need be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great comfortable boot I'm a heavy equipment operator. Had them for 2 years. The traction in snow, ice and mud was the best I've had over the past 10 years.
