Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality has Slipped Over the Years I have been purchasing this style / type of pants for the past eight years. I typically purchase 3-5 pairs a year. This year I purchased 3 so far and all 3 pairs have had the main button snap off and break right at the stich. The buttons are lighter plastic than prior years and the cross stitch is breaking the cheap plastic button. I've seen similar issues with the WindRiver and Denver Haynes pants too. The Vietnam quality control is slipping. I have replaced the buttons with quality ones and have not had the issue repeat itself. These pants should be coming with spare buttons due to poor quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile Work Pants I have been purchasing the Dakota Rip-stop Zip leg cargo work pants for all of my landscaping and lawn maintenance crew for 3 years now. The staff love them. They are durable, have plenty of pockets, and can convert from pants to shorts while working.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Product I got 2 pairs of these pants only 5 days ago and both have broken already. The first pair, center of the button pulled out. Second pair, right cargo pocked blew out at the bottom and I almost lost my wallet. I am so angry with the poor quality of these pants. Will NEVER buy ANYTHING Dakota branded again as this is not the only item made by them that was garbage. Very un happy to say the least

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light and versatile At first, I was feeling the zippers on my knees but after few minutes with pants on, didn't feel them anymore. Those pants are light and have many great pockets. They are perfect for hot days when you have to wear long pants ! Wish they had more than one color !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect work pant. This pair of pants is the ideal work pant. Durable yet light material, lots of pockets for tools, gear, whatever you need to carry on you, and the fact that they turn into shorts is amazing. On hot days I unzip the lower leg portion, fold it up and throw them in the cargo pockets and still have plenty of room for tools, phone, water bottle, keys, the whole lot. Best work pants I've owned to date. I'm buying a second pair.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Standard zip-off legs cargo pants Decent quality, must-have unzippable legs, good pockets. Lost two stars for not having expansion waist, which past versions have had. It makes a big difference to comfort when active.
