Rated 2 out of 5 by from Buyers Be Aware Work environment and conditions: outdoors, no concrete or asphalt (just dirt), aggregate yard, approx 10,000 steps a day. I was really optimistic when purchasing these boots - leather, waterproof, composite toe, no multi-layer outsole (like Timberland Pro, another overpriced, poor quality boots), made by KEEN. True to size, a little tight on first day but broke in the leather quite quickly. Just a single blister on one heel. Soles were not as cushioning as I thought it'd be. THREE days later, hosing off my boots at the end of the shift and LEAKED on the stitching at tongue and throat, both feet. Took them back, got another pair (+1 star for Mark's good store policy), without putting them on, poured water on where it leaked last time. SAME THING. Poor seam work done by the manufacturer. These are my first ever Keen boots and very disappointed. I've owned Red Wings, Royers, Timberland Pro, Carhartt... Will be going back to RW and Royers as they were waterproof. Yes, I know they shouldn't be treated like gumboots. But it should be waterproof to a certain threshold before leaking through. It was almost instant with a splash of water. Great summer boots though, but it's NOT waterproof as they advertise.
