Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light and no steel An excellent boot for doing just about anything ( with the composite toe and plate and water proof uppers.I would like a little more support so I am considering getting a gel insert.I would recommend this boot to anyone who hikes or works in rough areas.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from light and comfortable I was a bit worried about one review saying they are very slippery bought them anyway. These boots stick to the floor wet or dry and super comfortable . I wear them all day long doing building maintenance and then do for evening walks with them on. The composite toe and shank make these feel lighter than my old steel toes that I had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product This is the third time I have purchased these work shoes and I highly recommend them. I work as a car detailer and quite often have my feet in a wet environment. I also have worn these during the winter months and they kept my feet dry, warm and protected. I have recommended these to a friend and they bought them liked them and said they were going to purchase them again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots This is my third pair. They last about a year. Got on sale a couple of weeks ago, for about 130 taxes in. Insole don't last very long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit Great and light. I work as a Tool and Die maker in a busy stamping plant and these boots are great on oily floors and around sharp objects. I put a lot of miles on my boots every day and I'm on my second pair of these! I'll get these again when it's time to replace them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3rd pair 3rd Pair today, they are like old friends, usually get 2 years plus out of them, light durable and just fit my feet so well. I am a finishing carpenter and that involves being on my knees to do baseboard and trim, up and down lots of stairs, kicking doors as I hang them, working on scaffolding and so on, never disappointed with Kodiak

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A light weight work shoe I have an office job at a custom steel fabrication facility, but I am still required to wear CSA green patch boots for when I go out into the shop. My old shoes, the basic Dakota low cut shoes from Mark's, had lasted me 7 years but were getting tired, so I bought these Kodiak boots to replace them and I am very happy. These new boots may have cost almost twice as much as my old Dakotas, but I wanted to see if the price increase was worth it. My old shoes, which Mark's usually sells for around $80, were very heavy and clunky, and not all that comfortable. Lacing up these new Kodiaks, I was immediately impressed by how light and supportive they were. Combined, these boots weight 3/4 of a pound less than my old steel toes, which is a huge difference. The sole does feel a bit slicker when walking on steel than my old boots, but the sole has lots of biting edges and sipping for asphalt/mud/sand/dirt/rain etc. These boots are easily worth the price increase over a set of regular $80 boots. An added benefit of these boots is since they are hiking style boots, I can use them while camping and save myself from having to get a separate pair of working and hiking boots. I also like that Kodiak included an extra set of laces with the boots, for when the laces inevitably fail.
