Tight in the toe box

Unwearable. I've worn them twice and never again. I'd rather walk on cold, wet, sharp rocks than intentionally wear these shoes. My feet are small and narrow and the pressure on the top of my small toe was unbearable. What a waste of money.

These boots are excellent. I actually bought a pair elsewhere and like them so much I ordered this second pair from Marks. I like the have two pairs of winter boots the same, one to keep with yaktraks on, and one without. Ideal strategy for our Canadian winters.

I have never bought Columbia boots before. They almost remind me of the old Cougar boots I had back in the 80's. So, I do like them ... so far.

My experience

I bought these boots in a other store, but I would like to leave a review.
I walk a lot, so comfortable footwear is very important to me. At first, the boots felt comfortable and warm.
After one to two weeks of wearing them, I started to feel pressure on the right side around my ankle, but I continued wearing them.
Later, I decided to check the inside of the boot and discovered that some kind of internal plate (I believe plastic) had bent inward and was pressing against my ankle.
In the last few days, the boots caused severe chafing, my ankle became swollen, and I still have pain. Of course, I am now looking for new shoes, as I couldn’t even wear these for a full month.

Very small

This boot is very small, I normally wear a size 6.5 so I went with a 7 thinking the 1/2 size up would give me good space for thick socks. My toes are right at the tip, with thin socks it will be fine, but thick socks might not fit so well and since I intend to use these for nature walking, my feet will swell while walking and these will likely become uncomfortable. Otherwise they look like great boots and seem comfortable. I am going to go to the store and see if a size up works.
