Description

A tough leather work boot from Terra, the men's eight-inch VRTX 8000 has composite safety toes and plates. For winter warmth, they have lightweight Thinsulate insulation and for all-day comfort, moisture-wicking linings that resist abrasion. PU midsoles add support and dual-density insoles are removable if required. Added safety features include puncture resistance and electric shock resistance. The Vertex design makes a practical general-purpose boot for protection on the job.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but not great 2 months in and they are wearing fine, are as comfortable as past Terra boots I’ve worn (15+ pair) and fit my size 12 feet better than the other Aerials or Sentry’s I normally buy. (Size 12 is slightly small and 13 a little big typically). The deal breaker for me is the 2 holes at the bottom of the tongue that allow sand and small gravel in. (Would guess water as well, but have been fortunate enough to not test that out, yet). If you work in construction and are in small aggregate constantly I would avoid this model of Terra boots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap with manufacturing defects These boots have holes at the bottom of the tongue allowing sand to get down into the boot. Also, these are cheap knock offs, not made in Canada. Not happy with my purchase at all....I will be returning them tomorrow.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst terra boot I’ve ever owned. Terrible terrible terrible. I’ve owned over 20 different pairs of work boots over the years these by far are the worst. I’m normally a huge terra work boot fan but these are garbage! There are holes at the bottom of the tong so it’s very easy for sand dirt and water to get inside. The insole didn’t last a month before starting to peel and brake down . After the first day of use they were full of sand. Very unsatisfied customer

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the money paid for, dont buy! I bought this item 2 months ago and found the same issue with the holes at the bottom of the tongue, stepped in a puddle and got two wet feet. Not impressed whatsoever. Just recently i noticed a squeak had developed, more so when they were outside in the cold, really annoying walking thru the office and all you can hear is your boots making noise. Even left them in the warm office and they were still making the noise when they were warm. Would not recommend these boots unless you are outside and around alot of machinery that would drown out the squeaking. Called the store and the exact quote was " well the bottom is rubber, they will make noise" told not much they could do but bring them in and we can look at them. Really condescending attitude. Have owned alot of boots over the years and haven't had squeaking because the bottom is rubber. Wow. Don't buy these boots. Don't waste your money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from not sure if everyone's talking about the same boot Ok I've had this boots before it was officially out. I picked it up by accident because Mark's had them up on shelves but hadn't displayed yet but I grabbed one and bought it anyway. These boots are comfortable and I really like the look fo them. They're actually very good looking boots and I've worn them daily through coldest Canada winter and the hot summer which we've had. I love the thin but enough insulation it has. The toe is wide so I can wear thick wool during coldest winter and I was fine. Regards to the hole in the tongue, I never noticed because I work in city environment and I don't go feet deep in stuff so I cant comment. But I'm not sure if they say this boots is waterproof anywhere. It has kept my feet dry and it is very comfortable. The only thing I would change is that I'd like these Goodyear welted, then it would be absolutely be perfect. Also maybe close up the holes that everyone's talking about but I haven't experienced any problems personally. I'd say this is the boot to get. It has been holding up fine and I rub mink oil on them and it's been waterproof for me up to about 1 to 2 inch deep puddles.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sam Boots have holes where the tounge meets the toe under the laces all that comfort but defective design not good for construction

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fells like custom made These are by far the most comfortable boots I ever wore: light weight, soft/bendable sole and most important wide so your toes don’t feel squished inside for 8-10 hour shifts. Warm in temperatures -22C so far, very nice grip on frozen and wet ground, but I fear the leather will break where it bends sooner than I expect
