Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommend My husband works outside. He wanted a ankle boot that was waterproof and durable. This boot is definitely that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would highly recommend these boots! These are the most comfortable lightweight boots I've ever bought. They seem to be somewhat tight around the ankles but after wear a few times they feel so much better. After wearing them 5 or 6 times, I can't not find one thing I dislike about these boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would recommend this hiking boot to others. This boot is very comfortable and good looking. Great for cold weather and rugged enough to go anywhere.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor customer service Don't expect the shoe laces in pictures, also too short. Customer service was unwilling to provide laces. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome, comfortable boot I bought these boots as a casual alternative to your typical winter boot, glad I did, they are incredibly comfortable and look great with a pair of jeans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Timberland Fan Recently, I bought a pair of the hiking boots. They are really comfortable, but I had to buy one half smaller than anticipated. A good looking boot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy boots Got these timberland boots a few weeks ago and I must say I was feeling that since it was the summer that my feet would just sweat, and I thankfully haven't experienced that at all. I do wear them a lot when going out at night and they fit like a comfy sneaker and not a uncomfortable boot. They have lots of support and are very heavy duty. They pair well with a nice pair of jeans. You can either dress them up or dress them for a more casual look. I can't wait to wear them a lot more throughout the winter have a feeling that they will be good in this New England weather. Very happy to have these in my closet and can wear when I want. Another thing I would like to point out is that they are very lightweight as well [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love these boots! Other than being a half size to big (which with a good pair of socks really doesn't matter) the boots are amazing. They are so comfortable and this is coming from someone who spends 8 hrs a day in a beer cave, the boots also keep my feet so warm. They also have extra hooks around the ankles for amazing ankle support. The boots are also surprisingly very light weight. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Incredibly Lightweight and Comfortable Timberland's Aerocore system is fantastic. I took them hiking on a mixed media trail with several muddy "stairs" to break these in and aside from one nagging point noted below, were incredibly comfortable. The boots are uncannily lightweight, especially for hiking boots, and the foam soles are very comfortable to walk on. The insole provided is supportive, but is removable in case you needed to add custom orthotics. It's great they considered this. A downside of their foam sole is that I think it lacks just a little bit of torsional stiffness. This is key to stability on uneven and/or sloped surfaces and can reduce the risk of rolling ankles. I don't think Timberland has to change the foam, but a slight modification to the sole and tread design may accomplish this. My other hiking boots and sandals have notably more torsional stiffness. Most seams are double stitched and the lace loops are all riveted. A typical downnside of waterproof hiking boots are that they become sweatboxes, which can aggravate blisters. My hike was on a hot, humid day and my feet were not sweaty at the end. meaning they've made these somewhat breathable as well. This is great design. I didn't step in any deep puddles or wear these in any downpour, so I can't comment on how effective they are at keeping water out. However, they did provide overlapping leather flaps over the tongue, which leads me to expect they would be watertight at least up to 4" of water. One annoyance I had with these was only with the inside edge of the right boot's tongue. Where the fabric meets the leather, there's a hard lump which was digging into my ankle on my hike. The outside edge is soft and the left foot is also soft in either end. I originally thought it was folded over, but after several readjustments I realized this was not the case. I hope this softens up over time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great looking; flawed design I have many pairs of Timbs. These are the best looking but least comfortable. I don't know if I got a defective pair, but I've broken them in for several weeks and they're still very uncomfortable and put too much pressure on my ankles. The tongue feels like a cheap plastic material and bruises my ankle bones and hasn't softened up over time. My Mt. Madsen Timberland hikers are way uglier but way more comfortable. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish boot that's not just for hiking I received these Timberland hiking boots as a promotional item. I'm not much of a hiker, and had never heard of this style (although I was familiar with the Timberland brand), but must admit I thought they looked pretty stylish for hiking boots-I could totally see wearing these with jeans for a casual look. I was also impressed with the cushioning they provided-I wore them walking around the city (so far away from a hiking expedition) but found that the bottoms of my feet were pain-free after wearing them. The outer texture of the boots are a smooth leather which is waterproof (although there has been no rain since I've worn them, so I haven't had a chance to really test them out in the elements, so to speak). My one small issue with the boot was the width near the toes. I never buy shoes in wide, but they did feel a little snug in that area. It was not unbearable, but had I tried them on in a store I may have opted for a size bigger, or possibly a wide size if offered. But being leather, I'm hoping they will stretch out a bit after use because I really do like the look and feel of these boots. Like I said, I had never seen this style before I received them, but I would totally buy them, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. I would just advise trying them on, or if your foot size is even slightly wider than average, take that into account with sizing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfortable, but lacking style I like the overall comfort of these, but ultimately they aren't very stylish. Most people don't care about hiking in style, so it's probably not a big deal as long as they are comfortable for your long hikes. I've used them around the house, but have yet to take them on a significant hike. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would continue to buy Timberland products. I buy these boots for comfort and style. They look retro and at the same time modern with a filling of sneaker. The quality of the materials is excellent as the only Timberland how to do it. I have 42 years old and buy my first Timbs went I'm in high school. Since that time a pair of timberland's never missed in my closed. Great job guys!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from split tongue makes no sense strange split tongue at base, makes for awkward shoe tying, the must be tied loose or else the hurt your foot top, laces come undone, overall very poor design, i gave them to someone less fortunate which hopefully does not make them even less fortunate, avoid this shoe [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I really loke this boots I love these boots. I think they are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. Just don't tighten them too much. The only one thing I didn't like about these boots is that my big toenail wore down the piece of fabric that covers the leather from the inside; this usually happens to me only with cheap footwear, I expected more resistant fabrics. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent style and function A great solution for both going out on the town and a true hiker. The only concern I have is that the side of the upper tongue digs into the side of my ankle unless specific care is taken to position it (abnormal attention required). Once positioned, the boot is all that it promises.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hiker! Highly Recommended! I got this hiker a couple months ago and have used them around town and on the trail. Boots are very comfortable and have no trouble being in these all day long. Haven't tested the waterproofing yet but I did treat them with mink oil for additional protection which darkened the leather a but also looks nice. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality, just a little snug Very good looking and comfortable shoe. The only issue I have is that the shoes seem to run small, however, they might break in. Love the style and cannot wait to take on winter in them. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking, comfort able boot. This boot has some nice design features. There is a comfortable mesh liner type thing below the laces that attach to the tongue of the boot. The boot does take a few wears to break in the support at the ankle which was bit uncomfortable at first. Once broken in, the boot was super comfortable. It will be interesting to see how the boots hold up to the snow this winter. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
