Rated 3 out of 5 by from not fully water-proof more like water resistant. not for a day in the rain, sitting down with wet butt, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More than a rain pant I bought these after I had purchased the Windigo jacket for use during fishing. They seem to breath really well compared to a pvc or heavier nylon suit. Pack up easily for storage on the boat or in a back pack. Also I find they are light enough to really double as a windsuit for those chilly mornings in camp. Only thing I would beware of is to by a size larger than normal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Rain Pant Ever! I bought these just a few weeks ago for work as I needed a pair of rain pants for field work for when it is rainy or bit snowy. As working in forestry and archaeology field work you are in all types of weather and you do want to keep out the moisture. I wore these "Rain Pants" once and only once. They are intended to keep out the Rain however the reverse is true. I wore these on a moderate rainy snowy day. The rain and snow light to moderate rain/snowfall and should have kept out all the rain however these rain pants soaked up the rain soaking my clothing underneath, if I was not constantly moving I could have easily became hypothermic. Something you do not want on a cold wet rainy day in the mountains of BC. These are made by Viking and they are known for making good field work clothing for the forestry industry however these are a big fail. The fit is fair there is very little movement in key areas and will bind up when climbing over something or if you are kneeling to examine an object particularly in the crotch area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Weatherproof pants Was raining today while I rode my bicycle where as I decided to run in to Marks Work Wear House and buy myself a pair of waterproof pants...Purchased these pair from a very knowledgeable sales-employee....after trying them on and finding they fit perfectly I kept them on...paid for them at the cash register and wore them home whilst riding my bicycle in the rain! They were very comfortable, waterproof and windproof and also warmed me more as well due to the 5c temperature outside. I recommend these type of pants to anyone cycling in the cold rain. 2 Thumbs up! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my purposes! I bought these to wear on my daily walks - obviously for when it is raining. When I went to the store they had no men's large size in stock. I bought women's 2xl - perfect fit and exactly the same as men's. The pockets are perfect, and while the pants are designed with zippers on the bottom of the legs to facilitate putting them on without taking of your shoes, I doubt this is something I will need or want - probably get mud inside the legs if you do that. They are as waterproof as I need, and also really cut down a cold wind. For the price I don't think they can be beat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not durable for heavy forestry work I bought the Vikings to replace my old gear. I use my rain gear for block layout in BC. On the first day I used them, I tore them twice. Not durable at all for heavy field work. Best to avoid them and buy a different brand
