WindRiver loves the outdoors, and so will you wearing these protective winter boots. They feature a host of practical innovations to keep your feet warm and comfortable in chilly temperatures. Hyper-Dri® HD3 makes them both waterproof and breathable, while T-Max® Aerotherm insoles put a layer of warmth between the soles of your feet and the sub-zero ground. And that’s compounded with the addition of removable Truform liners which can be heat-molded for an ergonomic fit. These boots have Tarantula Anti-Slip™ On Ice outsoles that enhance traction for extra safety when walking on wet ice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Antislip design I was pleasantly surprised how this new anti-slip technology (Green Diamond) works so well. Like winter tires. I will not buy another pair of winter boot or shoes without this feature. The boot itself is really easy to get on, well constructed, light, warm and comfortable either when walking or at rest.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I'll take the extra insurance I am going to test the shiitake mushrooms out of these things. I will be walking 5 hours a day every day for my new job and when I'm done I will update this but so far they are nice and toasty and super comfortable and good on snow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots I've had the baby boots for a month or so and I have to tell you that these are great boots nice and warm and comfortable,i little ski bootish but this is understandable considering that they still new. I tiny negative is that the soul with the grass infused is not as great on ice as one may think although better then my bluestones on ice, and much warmer.....great boot ,hope they last!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No better boot for traction, wamth or comfort! I’ve been using these boots for 2 full months now. Living in Fernie, BC with the season we’ve had, I’ve used these boots daily on ice, -30 degrees, in deep snow, through slush and rain puddles! Yeah it’s been a crazy season! These boots have far exceeded my expectation. I used to use Sorels for many years and always found the traction terrible and not warm enough. The Windriver Bivy boots have excellent traction and have kept my feet warm and dry. They are also super comfortable to wear for long periods of time and easy to slip on and off. The traction part, I think, has been the most important aspect, giving me way more confidence to walk around in slippery conditions :). I can not recommend these boots enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Boots Bought them for the traction .....wiped out earlier this winter and blew out my knee.....they're not totally slip proof you still need to be careful on ice but they help and have given me some confidence back in going out for walks in winter get a size bigger.....bit bulky but comfy and certainly was free and fast.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Mixed results On the one hand, these boots are very light, very warm and very comfortable. On the other hand, the stitching around where the toe bends when you walk is poorly done (it looks like it's glued) and very brittle in cold weather, so constant use will eventually cause it to crack and/or split from the boot, causing cold feet from water and wind penetration. For lightweight use, such as occasionally shoveling snow, these will probably last you a few years, but for everyday use in cold temperatures, look at something else. I went through 2 pairs that had the same splitting problem before giving up on them, thankfully Marks allowed me to return them
