Sturdy, but not wind proof
I had this umbrella for a few months and it worked well when there was no wind. The handle is comfortable to hold and doesn't slip. However, it's not windproof even with the vent. I used it on a day when the winds were around 15-20 km/h and it flipped and broke. Not worth the money!

Failed to stay open on second use
I bought this a couple of months ago and used it once. It worked fine, although dimensions were smaller than I thought they'd be (didn't test in store). Today, a rainstorm, and it failed to stay open. I had to hold it open at the top. I don't have the receipt, but am so mad that I'm taking it back. I hope Marks stands by their products. Very expensive piece of garbage.

Solid Umbrella
This is a really solid umbrella. It has a double canopy construction for windy conditions.
It has 8 rips unlike the other cheaper "WINDRIVER Automatic Open Umbrella" which only has 6. Thus, this is heavier and a bit thicker. However, that's not a problem if you're keeping it in your bag most of the time. It also require more force to close than the other one, so keep that in mind.

This product if great for a windy and rainy day.
I bought this umbrella for school as it always rains in Vancouver. I have got to say it lasted me a long time and using it I was the only one who's umbrella wouldn't turn inside out during a windy day. Very strong and sturdy.

Failed eventually. Not wind proof.
Purchased for about 50% off... Lasted a number of years until a relatively low wind gust of around 40km/hr caught it from underneath and inverted it. Two ribs completely broken and now it is unusable. Definitely not worth buying at regular price.

Sturdy umbrella ella ella
I bought this for my son who has a finance internship on Bay Street in TO. He said it is sturdy and very stylish. Looks very professional. Not like a lot of flimsy junk out there.
