More Than a Pair of Shoes
I had a pair of adidas shoes remarkably similar to these when I was 12 or 13, back in the late 1970s. So for me, the Run 70s 2.0 is much more than just another pair of sneakers.
The design and beautiful blue, white and red colours immediately brought back memories from nearly five decades ago. Wearing them today, after all the years and changes life has brought, is a surprisingly joyful and nostalgic experience.
I especially appreciate how adidas has preserved the spirit of its 1970s heritage while giving the shoe the comfort of a modern sneaker. Sometimes we don’t just buy a product — we reconnect with a memory and a part of our life.
Five stars for the shoes, absolutely. But how do you put a rating on the experience of reconnecting with a memory from almost 50 years ago? I’ll leave that to the readers of this review to decide.
