X-Large is TOO small to fit shoe size 13 foot!

The socks are like they appear in the pictures, BUT they are too small to get on! They have X-L on the inside of the top but fit my son who has a size 9 (nine) shoe.
On May 29, 2023, at Macon, MO's TSC Store, I purchased 2 pair of Carhartt Men's X-Large (12-14.5 shoe size) midweight cotton blend steel toe boot socks SB5552-M. They fit and I wanted additional pairs. They no longer appear in Carhartt's listing so I tried the X-Large Midweight Synthetic-Wool Blend which turned out to be way too small!
