Looks great and it's so practical. I can wear this warm canvas vest when I'm gathering firewood, or sitting around the fire. You can't hurt this vest! It's both tough and good-looking.

It's effective at keeping me warm and there is a perfect amount of pockets. I was worried that the outer chest pocket would be small, like just for a pen, but that's not the case. It's roomy! I've already used it several times for various items!
One thing that I would wish to change is for the inner-right pocket to use something other than velcro. Maybe just a flap over the pocket, because the velcro causes me to use two hands to access the pocket... but maybe that's just me! I still LOVE the vest and would recommend it. For my preference, I ended up just covering one side of the velcro with a patch to prevent it from closing... it's a vertical pocket, so I'm not worried that items will fall out.
The vest is sturdy and works well over sweaters. I wish there was an olive green color :)

This is a well crafted, warm vest. It's heavy, so if you are looking for a lightweight, compressible garment, this isn't for you. But if you are looking for a durable vest, it's beautifully made and the inside, generously size zippered pockets are much appreciated. I do wish that it was a two way zipper - more comfortable when sitting in a car, etc.
