Light but sturdy, runs large

Great jacket, not thick and bulky but sturdy, can't wait to break it in. I'm 5'7" 130 lbs and ordered a small, wasn't sure how it would fit since I would normally go for a medium in jackets, but saw this was loose fit and have heard Carhartt run large. The sleeves of the small were good but I was absolutely drowning in the rest of it so got an extra small, and it was a much better fit! When I tried it on with a sweatshirt underneath, the sleeves of the extra small were a touch tight when bending my elbows, but I think it will break in just fine. Great jacket, hope this can help folks with sizing. Didn't have any trouble with the zipper the way other people have described, it's a big metal double zipper and takes a little effort but nothing crazy.

What a great jacket. Super warm. Love the extra length with side slits. Keeps your bottom warm without pinching off your thighs!!

I love this burgundy Carhart! It's incredibly warm and comfortable. No worries when I'm out early mornings in freezing weather.

Looks like the picture, durable and warm. I went up a size so that I could wear a sweatshirt. Suggestion - provide a draw string inside at the waist to prevent the cold air from going up or provide snaps to bring the bottom side pleats together when needed.

As always Carhartt makes a great durable jacket. This is my wife's first carhart jacket it will more than likely last her for the next 20 years. Best investment you can make is a great carhartt jacket. Can't recommend enough

Great for outdoor chores

Very warm, super tough. It is a great jacket to wear doing my barn chores. Doesn't get caught on the chicken coop wire like my other coat. Definitely roomy, I could have gone down a size but I can layer a lot and still have room, so it works out well. Great coat!

Love this coat! It's comfortable and just the right warmth. The slits on the side make it comfortable to sit also. I've had no trouble with the zipper.

Questions

1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: Is it rated for -50C winter?

1 Answer

A: Hello! Carhartt does not provide a temperature rating, as its very dependant on circumstance (activity level, metabolism, environment etc. ) to help provide a guage, Carhartt rates their winter garments into 4 warmth levels, Where level 4 is the warmest rated. This Jaket rates as a level 2 on their scale, I would not recomend it for the extreme -50 cold that you are asking about.
