Boots are fantastic, only gripe is the hooks for the laces, such a tedious and inferior design to eyelets. Overall great boot, comfortable, rugged, good looking in my opinion, would've been 5 stars if not for the lace hooks

Good boots, other than not liking the right hook/loop idea for the laces at the top, always a fight to get laced. Will go back to my regular boots next year

Look and feel great. Eye holes for the laces are the same for entire boot. I'd prefer traditional eyes for bottom half. Info tags that came with the boots warn that because they protect agains electric shock they will deteriorate quicker if they get wet. This wasn't good news.

Surprisingly heavy

These replaced a pair of Helly Hansen hiking boots that started leaking after 2.5 years of daily use. The Caterpillar boots are reassuringly solid (too early to tell how long they'll last) but amazingly heavy, presumably because of the composite plates. One boot weighs more than the pair of boots they replaced. I bought half a size big, which is a comfortable fit.

Not as good as the plain Haulers.

Not a "bad" boot but the plain Hauler is a better boot in my opinion. The plain Hauler has a better fit/support
especially in the area where the foot transitions over to the toes. The boot lace hooks are a poor design that makes them hard to lace up, they have an upper and lower hook on each grommet. I took a dremel and cut the bottom hooks off each one. When these are worn out I will go back to the plain Haulers.
