Fit, Tech & Function

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Columbia knocked this one out of the park with the subject line. Fit is spot on, coupled with "going to the moon technology" that keeps my feet toasty warm. If a company cannot do these two things, there is a major problem. Further, take the boot out in wet or snowy and freezing temps for a lap with the mut or traversing a mountain and you have perhaps C's finest effort. Well done Columbia and many thanks to your engineers for putting tech with function.

Great boots that don't feel clumsy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered these before a trip to Tromso, Norway. First of all, I ordered two sizes (10.5 and 11); I wasn't sure what the sizing was like and wanted to make sure I had the right size. After wearing them both for a considerable amount of time around the house, I decided to go with the bigger size. The smaller pair fit, but left little room for my feet to breathe. While in Norway, I put about 40 miles on the boots. The weather was wet and snowy with temps typically around 0-5 degrees Fahrenheit. They kept my feet warm and dry and were quite stable in slippery conditions. I had only one experience where my feet froze. We were on a boat in some harsh conditions. My toes were frozen! I think it was mostly due to them being warm and becoming damp. Then with lack of movement around the boat, my feet were able to become cold. Overall, I've been very happy with this purchase and have easily put an additional 20 miles on them. I would definitely recommend them. Possibly buy a half size larger than you normally where for typical shoes.

Streamline process

Everything is great the only concern I have is that, there is a difference in sizing. I have a different shoe which is also Columbia and size is 9 but when I bought the above I got the same size but it was a bit tight totally different from what I have. I tried to have it replaced but their process is way to complicated.

Good product for 0 degree Celsius temperature

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is good boot after 1st test during hunting trip. Cons Good warmth for low temperature , waterproof, fit and comfort Pros It's side rubber wall is weak and any sharp edge item can penetrate leaving empty hole especially when hiking. Won't recommend it for mud areas.

Not very good for cold weather

I bought this boot 2 months ago and I am thoroughly disappointed, bought a half size up from my typical boots so I could fit two layers of wool socks. I used them for hunting in -15 C weather and my feet were cold after 20 minutes and after 3 hours my toes had mild frostbite, granted I was sitting still so I'm more likely to be cold. I used them at work in -30 C with two pairs of wool socks as well as foot warmers and my feet were cold after 30 minutes and it was unbearable after 1.5 hours, while I was walking around. I am young guy that can typically handle cold weather but these boots make me miserable while I'm outside. If you need to walk your dog around the block while it's a little cold, these boots could work for you. But if you plan on doing anything in extreme cold weather for extended periods of time, do not get these.
