Perfect and runs true to size or bigger

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Heavy but flexible, super warm and the material is like butter. Great quality, good zippers and pockets and I love the length. I got it in my usual size, and it is so roomy I considered returning it for a smaller one, but I am just going to keep it and enjoy the extra space.

This is a really great coat! I love the look of the smooth exterior (as opposed to a to a traditional puffer). It feels nicely lightweight to wear, but so far has withstood some very cold temperatures in the Northeast. As some others noted, the pockets are slightly awkwardly placed, but I don't find them to be unusable. My one complaint would be that I don't love the little "comfort cuff" on the sleeve, because it makes the coat harder to take off when I come inside and just want to shed layers quickly.

Needed a warmer coat and this one was what I had been looking for. Was also on sale. Fits perfect, has large pockets, longer length and a hood for the Manitoba winds. Appears to be well made. Read the reviews before purchasing and someone mentioned tucking the fur in to help block the wind and this works as described, I never would have thought to try this. Thanks.

Columbia doesn't typically temperature rate their products as individual comfort can vary too much. This is a well-insulated parka built for comfort in cold conditions and includes waterproof-breathable protection, synthetic insulation, and Columbia's Omni-Heat™ thermal-reflective lining. We like to think of our jackets as falling into the Warm - Warmer - Warmest categories and would consider this style to be "Warmest". Hope that helps!
