A lot of people complaining about the sole wearing out quick, it's probably because you aren't walking around on...drum roll please........IRON. They are made with this type of sole to give you awesome traction on iron/metal. The name is literally in the boot. The description also says nothing about being water resistant, they do say they wisk away moisture from your foot, but not water proof. And if they gets soaked, they break in easier after they dry out, then apply some boot grease. So less crying and more research before purchasing.

light and comfortable, BUT...

I've had a few pairs of these boots over the years (BTW I'm NOT an iron worker). I like the fact that there's no heel, they're light, relatively comfortable, and relatively easy to break in. The down side is the sole. In spite of what the product description says, they are slippery even when new. If you have to walk across a polished concrete slab that's wet, you WILL slide. And it doesn't take long before the sole is worn smooth, making them even more slippery. There are better alternatives to these boots, they just cost more

Sole has no grip
a year ago
Nice looking boot, very comfortable. But the sole has zero grip. Sheet metal worker in high rise construction, so i work in all seasons and on all types of terrain. And these boots may as well be roller blades… and the soles wore down enough after 4 months that I have to buy a new pair of work boots…

Didnt last long, under a year. The tread is gone I catch myself slipping a lot. All of the seams have come unstitched and my feet get wet very easily, They also have dug into my heel since the day I bought them
