Dakota WorkPro Series Women's 6 Inch Aluminum Toe Composite Plate Pull On Work Boot

I have had these boots for a bit over a year, and wear them most days at work as a heavy duty mechanic. I find them incredibly comfortable, to the point that I often end up wearing them when I'm not at work too. I'm about to buy a second pair for when these wear out. They're my favourite of all the pairs of work boots I've ever had. But - I don't think they would work well for everyone. Short version - try them on, size up, don't expect ankle support, don't wear them on ice, don't expect them to last forever Fit: I have wide toes and fairly narrow ankles/calves and these fit me great. However, I would not recommend buying them unless you're able to try them on in person. I tried 3 or 4 different slip on boots that didn't work at all before I found these ones. I think it's really down to foot shape - much more so than with lace-up boots. Also - you may want to size up. I usually go a half to a full size up for my work boots vs. non-work footwear (it's surprising how much my feet swell during a work day), and the full size up was absolutely necessary for me with these boots. Function: I like these boots because I do a lot of bending and crouching in awkward positions as a mechanic and I feel like they give me more flexibility than other boots I've had. And they've got good enough support for standing still on a concrete floor if I'm working at the bench for a few hours. Plus it's easy to switch back and forth between these and my rubber work boots when needed. But if I'm going to be walking a bunch on uneven ground, I wear a pair of lace-ups instead. These don't have a ton of ankle support and I find my feet slide around in them when I'm walking over big rocks or on loose sand. Also - the soles have good grip on wet concrete and even on oily surfaces, but pretty bad grip on ice. They're a bit better on ice than my last work boots, but the colder it is, the worse they grip. Durability: I find Dakota work boots have medium durability, at best, and these aren't any different. They have lasted a whole year of intense wear, though, so they're not terrible. They are starting to sag a bit at the ankle, and the elastic is starting to go - which is too bad. The leather is a bit softer than other work boots I've had - so they are more prone to scuffs and cuts on the outside. But they haven't started cracking at the place where my toes bend, which is how most of my work boots eventually fail, so I think it's a trade off. The insole is pretty worn out, but I can replace that. The outer soles have actually held up surprisingly well. I hope to get another year out of them, but probably not more than that. In my case, it's worth it to pay for a really practical, comfortable boot even if it doesn't last forever. But if that's not your situation, these may not be the boots for you.

Like the boots but received them with one boot being scuffed with black marks on it. Not impressed as product must not have been inspected. Unable to attach picture to show you.

I bought these a couple months ago. The first pair I ordered I had to return because one shoe was much tighter than the other foot. When I finally got a pair that matched in size I was super excited about them, however my feet have suffered, and can’t afford to buy something else. My heels had massive blisters on them for at least 2 months. They are tight on the top of my foot where the laces would be and at lunch I need to take them off to give my feet a break from hurting, and bruising on my toes . Not only that but the leather on the boot is damaged and peeling. I had my last work boots for over a year and never had these issues. I do like the time it saves not having to lace/unlace my boots to get on and off. For $200 plus taxes I would not recommend this product unless you have super skinny, pancake thin feet. Also had to size up. Unfortunately women’s work boots options are limited and they don’t make men’s sizes small enough for my feet

They are not true to size, 6.5 is my usual size. Wore than around the house for a week and they seem to fit. However, once I started working them realized they were two small. So disappointing!

Just stepped into these boots and they’re so comfortable. Nice and light with a wide toe box. Just what I was looking for. They are a bit stiff to pull on but I expect them to loosen up with wear.

Amazing Boots. I bought these just before a 3 hour 8 km site walk at an airport end to end. Toe box so comfortable, ankle heel support perfect. Only break-in issue was rubbing at the Back of the leg 4.5” above ankle ( minor and easily fixed with mole-skin or higher socks until fully broken in. Had to pull them off quickly to go through security, easily removed and quick to pull back on. Walked through areas slick with mud and great traction. These are great!
