Poor sewing of the waistband to the cotton materia

In the last couple of years I've noticed that these briefs often come apart where the elastic waistband is sewn to the cotton fabric below. I've had to throw out many briefs where this stitching has separated. I do like the fit and style; however, they do not last too long.
