Manufacturing defect

Doesn't snug the ankle properly; as a result, constant rubbing and friction above the heel area while walking can cause blisters and pain. No. 9 of Denver Hayes usually fits me well, but I tried it, and it was loose at the back. Then I tried 8.5 and 8.0, even tighter than No. 9, but both had the same defect, and the ankle was slipping while walking. .Overall, I like Denver Hayes shoes and stretchable, flexible jeans
