These shoes are not meant for deep snow, but they are good for cold temperatures. They have a temperature rating of -20 to -30'C. (and it's listed unlike many others) My feet stayed warm during extended periods outside. The material and tread of the sole made traction great.

I was shopping around and have tried various winter boots. For my use cases, my current Converse and Vans winter/weatherproof boots work, but wanted boots which are easier to put on, well priced and offer good value.
These checked all the boxes for me, I've gone a month in below -20 weather now in these boots and have to say, for the price and quality these work excellent! Extremely comfortable with good support and cushion, while offering great grip in snow and decent on ice. I don't feel it's as "grippy" as advertised, but they did keep me safe in the extreme cold so far! Highly recommended.

This boot comes equipped with 200 g of our T-MAX® insulation which is used in footwear to regulate the temperature of your feet and allow moisture and excess heat to escape. This style is temperature rated for weather between -20 to -30 degrees. It also has our ICEFX® outsole which has an innovative tread design to provide greater surface contact in the heel strike zone and forefoot to achieve an anti-slip outsole. The outsole also uses a softer, more flexible rubber compound that does not harden in the cold and incorporates gripping pods to provide enhanced traction. A great option to keep your father in law warm and safe this winter!
