Favourite summer straw hat

Great hat. Love this hat: visor, breezy, has adjustable back, attractive black ribbon. Bought a second one this summer for a just-in-case spare. I wore last year's hat all last summer and this summer - no problems, damage or defects; it even resisted minor crumpling. It'll probably be good for next summer too. Maybe I didn't need to buy a spare.
Hat does require care in handling. Don't be rough with it; it is straw after all.

Twice, the same model hat developed the same problem - one of the seams cracked wide open. The store finally let me buy one at a lower price so I could afford to have it repaired.

Hat would have been perfect

The hat fit great and was exactly as shown except that I ordered online and when I got home and opened it, it turned out I had been given one that was damaged. I’m not sure if that was a one off or if that’s the way this particular store gets rid of unsalable items.
