Effective ice grips during the freeze, thaw cycle

The DuraCare ice grips traction are excellent on icy nature trails in northern British Columbia during the freeze and thaw cycle. They are effective when the snow has melted and there is a mix of ice and exposed forest floor on the trail. They do not have chains dangling on the sole of boots which break when torqued on rocks in these conditions. They provide stability and confidence while walking down and up hill slopes because the metal studs dig into the hard ice. They are easy to put on boots, although, after 4 months of wear, they are getting stretched out and a tiny bit loose, occasionally they fall off, but are easily put back on.

The suggested size fits pretty well, but be warned: you do have to stretch them a fair bit to get them on, but that helps them stay on and also stay in place.

These are great, I have bought these before and love them. Being a senior I need that extra security fir not falling on the ice. I have recommended them to afew seniors in my building.
