I have goretex jackets that I use for work to be completely dry in any rain but Magni Shell jacket is the best jacket I have owned so far that isn't Goretex. Has hellytech PROFESSIONAL technology rated for 20,000+ mm/24 as well as breathability rating for 20,000g/m2/24hr. Not as close as in rating as goretex but for most people this will be good enough especially if you live in the PNW. Has a left chest pocket that they call "life pocket" which has insulation to help with keeping your phones battery life. I did find however it only fits smaller phones smaller than 6" including case. Does not fit s24+ size phones. Has cordura fabric starting from elbows to the wrist, but I wish they also added cordura on the shoulders, bottom hems, and pocket openings. The jacket also has 2way stretch as well for extra comfort. I also wish they incorporated some sort of ripstop material to really make the jacket more durable at the torso to withstand snags and sharp objects better on site. I had the intention to use this jacket for site use but personally at this price or even a sale price it is way too nice of a jacket to wear for site unless you're a GC or one of the office people on site. All in all I do recommend the jacket, definitely needs some improvements but If you are really looking to buy it I suggest pick it up on sale or if you have lots of Points/ marks GC on Christmas!
Pro Tip:
When washing garments like this use tech washes and a DWR like Nikwax Tech wash and Nikwax spray on DWR, regular detergents attract water to the jackets making jackets "wet out". These things really add extra life to these technical jackets so you don't feel like your jacket is leaking because chances are the outside fabric just gets too water soaked and the membrane can't expel the vapors from your sweat.
