Good entry level jacket but fit issues

Couldnt find my size in store so I had to order online, also ordered the Magni shell jacket to see which one i would prefer, and Magni jacket wins.
Oxford shell jacket is a nice looking jacket that you can also wear as a casual shell when you run errands or whatever. Has hellytech PROTECTION, which according to waterproofness rating tables available online, is rated for 10K-15K mm/24hrs. The shell seems rugged as it has ripstop fabric to prevent further rips and tears when it gets snagged on something sharp. However fit is a bit on the snug side, i hover between XL and XXL, ordered XXL and even without layers it already felt somewhat restrictive. I experimented with adding layers like fleece or an eddie bauer microtherm jacket underneath and it felt even snugger especially across chest and shoulder areas. It seems if you have very broad shoulders you may have to size up more, but with that you end up with longer arms and length of jacket, as well as more space in mid section which isnt very ideal in cold weather. This may be perfect for jobsite use for someone with a slimmer and slender build. For stalky people this may just be good for casual fall/spring use as its quite restrictive once layered and hinders mobility during jobsite work. Because of fit issues for myself i had to return the jacket.

One Jacket to Replace Them All.

Okay, a little dramatic – but, this jacket has truly replaced a couple other jackets I had, specifically for the shoulder seasons. Paired with a puffer vest or light down jacket underneath, the combo will keep you warm and dry from the elements while you're out and about. I went up a size – usually MED – to a LG, so I'm comfy in layers and not restricted in movement. Would love if there was a second zipper from the bottom.
