It had the same quality and craftsmanship as the original 501® style, but more room in the seat and thigh. Not a replacement for 516

This style is supposed to be the replacement for the 516 which apparently is discontinued. I don’t like the fit as much as the 516 and I couldn’t get them in a 40” waist with a 30” inseam so I had to pay to have them hemmed.

Comfortable Jeans / Clunky Purchase Experience

These jeans fit me well are very comfortable. My only complaint is they prematurely wear out / pull apart at the top of the inseam. The purchase experience was clunky. I saw a promotion in my email, and went to the store to buy in person. As I paid at the till I notice the price was higher than I expected and was told the promotion was available only online. In order to receive the promotion I needed to return the jeans and purchase on-line, which I did. Extra steps and time for Marks and me - doesn't make a lot of sense.

I always buy 505s but I needed two pairs and only had one 505. I went wild and bought a 550 as well. They're great. A very small amount of extra material around the thighs make them very comfortable if sitting for a long time.
