Stylish work shoes

These have been my go to work shoes for the past 15 years! I’m a Surgical Tech. & I’m on my feet all day. They are great for wet environments, so I don’t worry about slipping.

How much I hate this shoe

Not a good remake of the classic Gust. Shoe has cheaper materials and is lower in the arch. Way to ruin a classic. It’s the “New Coke” of footwear.

Great, but not durable compared to prior version

I owned both the original Encore Gust and now the Encore Gust 2 and I am disappointed with the durability of the new design. The original Gust had leather lining on the inner side of the edges and they lasted a long time. The new design has a polyester fabric where the leather used to be and it wore through really quickly. These are comfortable shoes, great design, but for the sake of little bit of extra leather cost they really compromised the durability of the shoe. I hope they start using leather again in their Gust 3 design, otherwise they are not worth the cost.
