For about 20 years, I have been buying exclusively Merrell footwear, just like this pair of shoes. I do not jog, but I am an urban walker, and I dance, dive, and leap down short flights of stairs (compromised of no more than five or so steps) at karaoke nights, and these shoes are great. I own four pairs of these: one since before COVID, that is dirty and used for yard work; one that is not quite as old but good for short walks; one that I bought a year or two ago, which I now reserve for longer walks and the dive-bar; and this pair that is my "good" pair (for non-dive bars). I want to add that I was very disappointed with Merrell's slip-on version. Get the hikers with laces.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Wrong description

The description states that this shoe is waterproof with a Vibram sole. It is neither of these. It is a regular, vented hiking shoe which is fine if that's what you're looking for.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Beware: Not Waterproof

Cheap and comfortable shoes with 2 major flaws: 1. Not waterproof: This is falsely advertised as featuring waterproof membrane, however this is not the case. Walked through wet grass and found out the hard way. 2. Too soft to be supportive: When going down a hill the same cushy build of the shoes that makes it comfortable works against your feet. The stitching between the toe leather and the mesh gets pushed against your toe—right where your toe nails are for me. It's a good vented shoe to walk around town and it should be advertised as such.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Some Issues

The shoe is what I was looking for and has been comfortable so far, but on my third time using them the sole started slipping out of the shoe and has continued to do so ever since.

    Only good on dry land!

Disappointed. Specifically asked clerk twice if this shoe was water proof (or at least water resistant). Was assured 'yes'. Web info say it has 'waterproof membrane'. Truth is neither. Took two minutes in a rain shower (not a downpour) to feel my socks getting wet. Shoes are comfortable, but only any good on a dry day.
