This is my second pair of Merrell winter boots. I am a 27 year armed forces veteran. Like any other normal adolescent, yesterday I put on my snowshoes and went for a walk. There was water over the ice in the creek, so I tested my new Patrol boots. They deserve 5 stars. They stayed dry and I still had warm feet when I got back from a couple of miles through wet snow and back through the creek on the way home. Please don’t change how you make boots. Thank you.

I am a supervisor for my state department of corrections. A couple of weeks ago I had a accident at work and broke my leg in three places from the ankle to knee both tibula and fibula. I was wearing these duty boots at the time and due to the stretch and support of the boot it stopped my bone from coming through the skin and bleeding out. Unfortunately the paramedics cut the boot off of my foot but I am beyond impressed with not only the quality from this company but the relaibility of these boots before the accident they were extremely comfortable and won't use any other boots but merrell knowing I'm safe in them. If your hesitant don't be buy these boots now

My only issue is that the zippers go off through a metal detector. I work in a prison so we have to get screened. I hate taking my boots off because they don’t clear the detector and have to go through x-ray

Feels very "Walmarty". Comfortable, but cheap. Funny thing that, I purchased these to replace the Moab Zip that, contrary to their description was NOT waterproof and only lasted about 7 months. Merrell used to be about comfort AND quality. Comfort is good. Disposable comfort... not so much.
