Merrell Work Men's Equinox Steel Toe Steel Plate Mid Cut Waterproof Hiker Shoes

I have been in the trades doing construction, everything from ground work to roofing, to everything in between for the last 8 years. These boots are probably the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I have tried everything from Dakota, timberland, keen, helly Hansen, and Wolverine. Out of the box they feel extremely comfortable and the break in process was almost non existent. The leather feels tough, the soles are a harder rubber, the water proofing seems to be holding up well and overall they seem like a solid boot. My only complaint, which I read about in other people’s reviews are that these boots are hot. Very hot, to the point where I almost returned them. I had to reach out to Merrell to confirm if these boots had insulation or not because of how hot my feet got. They confirmed that they do not have any insulation but that could’ve fooled me. An example of how un breathable these boots are is, I took my air compressor to clean them off and I couldn’t feel any air on my feet as I blew them off.
