Warmest boots you can buy

I have been a avid outdoorsman for 30 plus years. Snowmobile, ice fish and hunt in Manitoba. I have purchased other brand top of the line boots which are better for hiking however if you are sitting all day Sorel Glacier XT's from my experience are the warmest money can buy. Use the appropriate gear for what you are doing. I wear 13 shoes originally ordered 13's my toes were tight at the end so returned and got 14's. In winter boots (non hiking) bigger is the safe bet just add another pair of socks or liner underneath.

Very warm and durable

I've had these boots for almat ten years, they have held up very well. I wear them almost every day in the winter. They are VERY warm. They are durable, the nylon has started to wear away a bit on the sides but they have more then lasted what I expected of them. Great boots if you work outside in the winter.

Warm but difficult to get on

Super warm but the upper part of the boot is tight making it difficult to put on but once you get your feet into them the are comfortable My old Sorels had more room in the upper.

Sorel Glacier xt

Definitely not the quality they were years ago. The insulation is 1/4 what it used to be in the mid-90s and the insoles that used to be included are a thing of the past. 1 hr in -20c and you could feel the cold seeping in. In the old glaciers my feet were never cold hunting or snowmobiling. Certainly not worth the money they are charging for these boots, I was disappointed all around with the quality. See attached photo for comparison of old Glaciers to the new Pair.
