Warm for winter that's about it.

Had these for 10 months and rubber sole starting to peal off and back on both boots seams opened up. Not worth the 300$. Only good thing is they are nice warm boots for winter.

Comfortable but soles are defective

Very comfortable other than a day of that rubber backing stiching inside the boot rubbing on my heal, however after 15 days of work the friggin treads/soles are falling off. Hardly broken in.... not for the oil field.

Q: Currently wearing timberland pro boondock 8" 10.5 Looking at these just wondering on size to order no stores near by have any to try on

  • A: TimberlandPRO boots should all fit *about* the same, but you may find the fit of this style a little less snug, so you might want to order a half size down too, if you like a tighter fit.

Q: Is it winter proof like Dunlop?

1 Answer
  • A: Hello, This boot is insulated (200g of insulation), Waterproof, and has a Vibram Fire and Ice outsole which provides optimal performance in any temperature. We do not assign temperature ratings on our boots, as the comfortable temperature for the wearer varies so much depending on many factors (layering, metabolism, activity level etc.) This style has 200 grams insulation. Our insulated boots range from about 200 grams to 1000 grams of insulation. If we were to rank this boot into the cateogies Warm, Warmer, Warmest - this boot would fall into the warm category. The Dunlop would fall into the Warmer category, so it would keep you warmer in conditions that are a bit colder.

  • A: Hello, for a Size 9, this style has a shaft circumfrance of 11.25 inches. This would scale up and down slightly depending on your size.

Q: How heavy are they to wear.

  • A: Just got mine today. Surprisingly they are lighter than the 6inch timberland pro with laces. They're hard to drive with because of the rubber support on the heel or maybe just have to break them in, either way I'd rather have protection on the back of my heel.
