Timberland PRO Men's Composite Toe Composite Plate Boondock Waterproof 6 inch Work Boots

From buying a quality make like timberland. For the price I paid I was disappointed to see how the leather coating changed first day i wore in my workplace. I broke my foot back in November and when I went back I could not wear the standard gum boots. So bought these for the raised heel and the cushioning which was ideal. Also bought for the property’s in the tanning. I work in a fish plant so subject to water on my boots every day. But did not expect leather to go like this on first day.

I work in HVAC as an installer and got these 3 days ago when my other boots had to be retired. I’ve always really liked the look and design of them compared to other work boots, but them being $40-$60 higher than other options made me slightly hesitant to buy them. I decided to finally do it this week and they have been working out great so far. It’s winter here in Canada and I’ve already worn them in fairly heavy snow, slush, snow and rain already, they performed great and were comfortable. No leaking and feet remained warm in my usual wool socks. I do also apply Snoseal to all my work boots during the winter so that also helps a lot regardless of the boot. My only slight complaint about them is that they are extremely heavy. Now, I’m a guy that actually prefers a slightly heavier work boot, but these boondocks weigh as much, if not more than my handmade boots, made with 7-8oz leather. You should absolutely try both of them on and walk around the store, just so you know what you’re in for. I’m a fit and active guy, who’s in the gym often, hiking, biking, swimming etc. After a 10hr shift which included lots of walking, up and down stairs all day, I really felt the fatigue. You also can’t be agile in these boots. If the weight is not an issue for you then I’d get them. The reinforced heel and toe shield are great features and I won’t even buy work boots without them. The toe shield helps when I kick my boot to knock snow off before entering a customers house and the reinforced heel helps when I’m taking my shoe off at the end of the day and use one shoe to help pull the other off. I’ve had more than one pair of boots fail in those exact spots so the toe shield and reinforced heel alone should add quite a bit of longevity. They also performed great walking on ice & slippery surfaces. I’ll see how they hold up.

Excellent work boots for my feet. I would recommend it for those that are in boots all day in cold and damp conditions.

I’m on my second pair. Very good boots. First pair lasted five years. Very light weight and comfortable. Great in the cold and good in the heat. Don’t need to break them in. Comfortable right out of the box.
