Great boot, poor execution

I bought these boots around four months ago thinking that these boots would hold up for as long as my previous set of Timberland boots had and I hate to admit that I was so wrong and am very disappointed with these boots. My previous boots were the 8” Timberland Boondock and my overall experience with them was pretty good other than the fact that they are heavy. The Ture Grit boots look great and are comfortable to wear and I like that they are a slip on boot but the biggest flaw with these boots is the material that the lower portion of the boot is made from. It’s not leather but some kind of synthetic material with a textured finish. Within the 4 months that I had owned these boots the sides of the boots had begun to rapidity break down via cracks and splitting of the lower material and now offers very little protection from water. I’d already tried to return the boots to the retailer and they wouldn’t touch them as they said it was wear and tear from normal use, which I strongly disagree with because a product that is coming from a reputable manufacturer like timberland should not have these kinds of issues this early on. These are very nice boots out of the box and they feel great but I think that the material used on the lower portion of the boot is a very poor design choice and if genuine leather was used than I don’t think I’d be here writing this review. I’ve recommended timberland boots to many of people due to my personal experience and the quality and durability of timberland products but after experiencing these boots it’s put a bad taste in my mouth and I honestly would find it difficult to recommend them again which is a shame. I really do feel if the materials were changed to a genuine leather on the lower I would consider giving them another chance but for now I’ll be in the market for another boot.

Not for wide feet

Not for wide feet. Wanted to love them but the toe box is crushing my toes to the point I can’t wear them. If you have actual wide feet stay away.

No, I do not recommend this product.

True Grit Leather Issues

The True Grit leather just ripped and flaked off. This is by no means a durable boot. It fits slightly large but is relatively comfortable, and the construction looks solid, but you should avoid. Worn for less than a week of very minimal use, and it's falling apart.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Première fois que j'achète ce style de botte, elles me font des plaies au pied. J'ai du acheter une autre marque. Impossible de retourner le produit puisque utilisé sur chantier.

Comfortable but not waterproof

They were comfortable and looked nice but a big loss for me is that they weren’t waterproof after a week. Even just standing in snow or a small puddle they would get wet inside. Definitely not ideal for us plumbers lol.

No, I do not recommend this product.
