Not all iceFX are equal. Misleading advertisement

The description of the product I was buying online said: "iceFX" sole type. What I got instead is only 1/2 of the iceFX technology. The metallic particles in the sole are not there. I already fell on the street because the boots don't perform as well as the ones with metal particles when there is ice.
This is the first online purchase I make at Mark's website and probably the last.

Oil Stained Boots

This review is not about the product. I received the boots and they were stained with oil. The bottom of the box was soaked in oil and it transferred to the boots. These boots should have never left the warehouse!

Purchased for my son as a birthday present, he loved them ! Said they fit perfect and were very comfortable ! Would highly recommend this product excellent quality , true to size and very durable.

Not waterproof

When I purchase a product marked "waterproof" I expect it to be waterproof. For these boots I am happy to adjust that claim to rule out such extreme use cases as immersing them several inches in water and holding them there for a couple minutes. I don't expect that level of waterproof. What I do expect, however, is for boots sold in Canada claiming to be waterproof to hold up to light rain, snow, and slush. I expect them not to leak when I walk in snow, get in my car, and allow the snow to melt off them while driving.
These leak around the welt. Both boots. They leak all the way around where the rubber sole connects to the leather upper. The connection appears to be secure, there are no manufacturing defects that I can see. No cracks or splits. Water just soaks in at this spot and makes its way to the inside of boot, soaks my socks. Unacceptable. I should have known buying a discount product from a big box house brand like this. It was too good to be true.
Additionally, they are very heavy and the supplied insoles are not supportive (far too squishy with no structure). I have donated them to clothing bank. Never again.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Comfortable and stylish boot, but does not last. I had it for less than 3 weeks before it started falling apart. Thankfully Mark’s has a good boot guarantee/return policy!
