great shorts, but need better UV protection

I buy a few of these every year or so so I am happy they are still available. My only concern with them is that they have no sun guard and fade very quickly in full sun.

changes in fabric, fasteners

I have been wearing these shorts for years, and the old ones finally wore out. This year, the fabric has changed, the fly button has been replaced with a snap, and the legs are narrower. It remains to be seen if these shorts will stand up the every day life. So far, they fit, and likely they will loosen up and be fine.

Two different lengths, same item

I ordered 4 pair of the same shorts, two black, two navy. When I received the order one black pair and one navy pair were 6" length and the other two navy and black were 6.5" length. Odd that the exact same item had two different lengths and had to be returned.
